I Win – Proverbs 25:2

Do you ever feel like success is just beyond reach, reserved for others but not for you?

Today, let’s talk about what it means to embrace the identity God has given you, recognizing that you, too, were created to win.

Inspired by Proverbs 25:2, this truth reveals that God has planted treasures in our lives, meant for us to discover and claim as part of our purpose.

“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.” — Proverbs 25:2

It’s natural to question why some people seem to find success while others struggle. “Why does success work for others but not for me?” you might wonder. But I’m here to tell you that it’s time to challenge that mindset.

I had similar feelings and doubts before I began to understand the incredible purpose behind my journey. The Bible holds answers for all of us, no matter our backgrounds or circumstances.

This journey has led me to a deeper understanding of Proverbs 25:2 and how its wisdom applies to every part of our lives.

My Story: From Name Struggles to Spiritual Discovery

I’m Israel Ikhinmwin, and growing up with a unique name was both a blessing and a challenge. On one hand, I loved that my name was special. But on the other, I often felt misunderstood. Over time, though, I discovered something remarkable.

In the Bible, there’s a story about a man named Jacob, who wrestled with God and was given the name Israel. This new name meant he was a “prince who has power with God and men.”

“For as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.” — Genesis 32:28

When I learned this, it felt as though God was revealing something specific and powerful about my own identity. Jacob fought with God and won.

Proverbs 25:2 reveals that God takes glory in hiding things while we find honor in seeking them. This idea made me realize that life is a journey full of hidden blessings waiting to be discovered.

When I embraced this truth, I started seeing my life in a new light, recognizing that God had placed countless “clues” for me to find. I began to understand that even in my struggles, there were things to help me grow.

The Meaning Hidden in My Own Name: “I Win”

The deeper I looked, the more I saw God’s hand in my life. My family name, “Ikhinmwin,” symbolizes fruitfulness. For years, it felt like just another name, something I carried without thinking much about.

But then, it dawned on me: “Ikhinmwin”. “Ikhinmwin”. “I Win.” God had placed a reminder in my own name, a promise that I was destined to succeed, not because of my strength alone but because of His presence in my life.

I realized that He had woven “I Win, I Win” into my very identity—a message I’d been declaring all my life without even knowing it.
