A Year Ago: A Crucial Decision I Made To Get More Views

About a year ago, I had a decision to make. At the time, I had a website (this one 🙂 ) that got updated every now and then.

I had one YouTube channel that had thousands of subscribers, but it was all over the place. But somehow, it was still growing. Anyway, I knew God had more for me. I knew I’m supposed to reach hundreds of thousands of people, millions in fact.

One thing I knew I must do was to keep my site consistent, create more channels to align my message with what God wants, and build more connections. I knew this was the next step for me to take, but I was disabled by fear.

I was afraid of the people who are bigger than me, who don’t want me to succeed—agents working for the system. I was afraid of how I was going to step forward from what I was doing to reach a new level.

I thought, “If I’m struggling now, it’s obvious I’m going to fail with more on my plate.” I was also afraid because of all the times I’ve failed before.

I’ve taken steps in the past to get more views, sales and time freedom that failed. I’m thinking about these things and others, and wondering how this is possible.

A Turning Point: Moving Forward

What happened next is history in the making.

My site gets updated every week, I’m reaching thousands more people every month. I’ve got more support, and sales are increasing every month. And it’s only a matter of time before I’m reaching millions of people every month.

But what helped me take the step last year, in the middle of all the foes, fears, and failure? I’m going to read something from the Bible that shows you. This wasn’t the only thing, but it’s short, sweet, and was the reason for the note I made last year around this time.

I’ll tell you what the note says later.

The Bible is filled with things like this all over. And it’s things like this that helped me overcome the foes, obliterate my fears, and overwrite my failures. It’s the same thing that will keep me doing this in the future, and what will help you too when you take the step forward.

The Command to Step Forward – Deuteronomy 9:1-3

This is from the fifth book in the Bible, Deuteronomy. I’m going to read three verses from chapter nine. Look at verse one. This is Moses speaking to the Israelites. At this point, they’ve been in the wilderness after leaving Egypt for forty years. I’ll bring that up later because it’s important. But it starts by saying:

“Hear, O Israel: Thou [art] to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,”

TODAY!

Today is the day you must step forward. Not tomorrow, not next week, not next year. Today!

You’re not passing over the river Jordan in Israel, but God created you to do something special. Today is the day for you to step forward. Because today is all you have! Tomorrow is not promised to you.

I’m going to deal with the fear of what is waiting for you when you step forward in a minute. But decide! Today is the day. Today I decide to step forward. Because everything starts with a decision.

Facing the Giants: Acknowledge the Challenge

He says:

“this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,”

There are people, groups, and organizations that are greater than you. They not only don’t want you to succeed, but are actively working against you to fail.

They have more money, more muscle, and more machinery. They can outspend you. They can outwork you because they have more people, and they have better tools than you. You cannot stop them.

“Then Israel, If they have more money, more muscle, and more machines, why should I step forward?”

I’m going to tell you.

The Power of God: Overcoming the Odds

Moses continues:

“A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and [of whom] thou hast heard [say], Who can stand before the children of Anak!”

The Anakim were the giants in the Bible, people like Goliath. Your foes are big and tall, they have a famous name, they come from a famous family, and you’ve heard the stories. No one can take them out, right?

But why is Moses telling the people to step forward if he knows this? Why am I telling you to step forward if I know this?

I know you’re afraid of many things. I was too. And I know you’re afraid of the foes waiting for you; I was too. But it doesn’t matter.

They know it doesn’t matter, but it’s time for you to know it. I talked about this in my video on Isaac, and what every wealthy person needs to succeed.

Look at the next verse:

“Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God [is] he which goeth over before thee; [as] a consuming fire he shall destroy them,

and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.”

Understand today. Not tomorrow. You need to understand today!

Because understanding today gives you power to step forward and overcome your foes, obliterate your fears, and overwrite your failures.

Understanding today will help you today, to take the step with understanding. When you step forward with this understanding, it empowers you to take the next step tomorrow.

The Promise of Victory: God Goes Before You

Listen again to what Moses wants the people to understand. It’s the same thing you need to understand thousands of years later:

“Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God [is] he which goeth over before thee; [as] a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face:

so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.”

The reason you step forward today is because the Lord God is going before you. Those great foes working against you are not greater than the Lord God. Those fears you have don’t mean anything to God.

God can and will destroy your fears as easy as clicking his fingers.

God is walking before you. The foes can see it, they’re hoping you don’t see it.

The Bible says the demons believe and tremble. But these are the same demons possessing people and wreaking havoc. These are the same demons keeping people sick, poor, and spiritually dead. But they are trembling.

They’re trembling at the moment you open your eyes and see…The One who is with you is greater than all against you.

As I move forward, I keep imagining a scale. I keep putting my foes and fears to one side, and God on the other side. God wins every time. God will outweigh everything. The game is set up for you to win. But you need to win by walking in faith.

God’s Assurance: Victory is Certain

Look at this:

“[as] a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.”

It didn’t say God might destroy them. It didn’t say He feels like destroying them. If you step forward and do what God told you to do, He WILL destroy anything trying to stop you. You will see it.

There are people who don’t want me to make this content. There are people who don’t want me to write books.

The system doesn’t want me to write a book that shares life-changing success secrets, that show people how to make the next year of their lives the best year of their lives.

That book gives the information to follow over the space of a year, to have the transformation.

That’s why I’m not surprised these things changed for me while I was reading it. The system wanted this book to get buried in lost time, guilt, and fear. But I said enough is enough.

Moving Past Fear and Failure

For about ten years, I rarely mentioned that book to anyone. It’s like the man who buried his talent in the sand in the parable of the Talents.

Every year that went by, I was less likely to step forward because I believed the story that it’s too late now.

“Other people have written books, why would anyone read my book? Don’t bother, Israel, it’s too late.”

But passages like this reminded me: the more steps I take forward, the more steps I take towards God’s plan for me, the more successful I’ll be. I’ll cross the Jordan that I need to in my life.

You know there’s at least one book in you, but until this point, you’ve allowed things to weigh you down. God will get the book done for you because He outweighs it. But you must put your faith in Him and step forward.

God is Bigger & That’s How To Get More Views

God is bigger than your foes. God is bigger than your fears.

“But Israel, what about the failures?”

Deuteronomy means second law. Deutero means, second. Nomy means, law or writing.

The first time God said step forward, they were more focused on their foes, fears, and failures, than the formidable fire that was fighting for them.

The reason God is saying this to them is because they failed the first time He wanted them to wipe out their enemies. They failed the last time He wanted them to step forward. But God is bigger than their past failures, and He’s bigger than yours too.

Step forward with what God wants you to do. You’ll get more views, replace your income, and remain firm in your faith.
