“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: (Genesis 3:1-4).”

The story of Adam and Eve highlights many things. God has showed me several different lessons, from the times I come back and study the text. One thing I find this occurrence to portray, is the importance of power in our lives.

The reason for this article is to identify a theory I once came across. In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve both made a terrible mistake. This was a mistake any of us would have made, so there is no point pointing the finger. Adam allowed his wife to be deceived (one way or another) and then cultivated the problem by eating of the fruit willingly. From my study, the Bible never expressly states what fruit it was that was consumed, neither does it allude to any such fruit. I’m sure the majority of people you ask will say it was an apple. Some may know it doesn’t say this, however, due to custom may even express this answer without thinking. So from my experience, the apple is the most common fruit people associate with the garden.

Look at the image, what is this? By using this image, I have not only shown an apple, I have also highlighted a specific prominent company.  Someone once said to me apple is a representation of the Garden of Eden, meaning they want consumers to eat the forbidden fruit. Personally I have no knowledge about whether this theory has legs to stand or not. It did make me think though. I think the more you think about it, the more it makes you think.  I don’t particularly believe it, it wouldn’t be a surprise also though.
The Garden of Eden is the only thing associated with apples, so there could be many reasons why the logo is an apple with a bite mark.

Moving on now a couple years, I believe I was in my house one day thinking. It suddenly came to me, there are other companies with fruit as there company name. Below are some images of a few.

I don’t really like to dive too deep into conspiracy theory because it can take you on a long journey. Just like superstition, there are many things which can be regarded, and to what end will you conclude with? This did interest me however and made me think, these companies may do this to send each other a message, or maybe they are sending us the message. Whatever you believe, I’m sure this has made you think.
