Are your roots deep in the ground?
I’ve spoken many times about one’s foundation, where a foundation should be placed and where a foundation should be in regards to significance. When I was a child I used to walk past little plants and pull them out. It did not matter to me where they were or who they belonged to, it was just a matter of hobby. As I came to know, the closer the root was to the surface, the easier it became to remove the plant. I do recall at times their were several deep rooted plants that took more than the common effort. Those of us with a plan have some further rooting than someone with no plan. This truth doesn’t mean that the possessors of plans have a solid rooting.
The Lord said to Jeremiah “thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak…Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.” Before we know God we build up strong towers and walls which hinder us from seeking God. Those who are chosen by God are softened by his grace and begin to see his presence. The message is twofold! If you know God and are in a relationship, you must seek to deepen daily, the relationship you have with him. Deepen the roots you have in God continuously by seeking him and his kingdom.
If you know God but are stagnant or sets obstacles in the way of your growth, I advise you stop these obstacles and loosen the load. The deeper the love you have for the things of the world, the harder it becomes to let them go. Theirs many thoughts I have concerning this statement from Jesus (Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.) My thoughts right now concerning this are as followed…why is it so hard for the rich man? The rich man can obtain anything he likes. There is no stopping him from purchasing anything his heart desires. The more and more one obtains, the harder it is to relinquish.
