Faith unto death

Paul the apostle was willing to die for the faith, not only be imprisoned (Acts of the apostles 21:13). There is a big difference in my opinion between imprisonment and death, Paul wasn’t joking…

How far are you willing to go…

Faith unto death is something I was writing about recently. Believing in something so much and acting upon so much, even at gun point, or even to the extent one will kill you for your beliefs, you stay true to the word. Jesus promised us a just reward for our persecutions in his name, something I believe is much greater than I know sometimes. How many people today sell their souls for temporary gains and then die and then go to hell? There are mansions, community, unity, gold and more importantly your creator in the life to come. What is eighty years? Moses saw this and could not be numbered among the Egyptians but needed to resort back to his previous heritage and enter life (Hebrews 11:24).

Faith unto death is not just our life, Paul urged to commit our bodies living sacrifices (Romans 12:1) he also stated that our bodies were vessels of the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 3:16). This means, and I learned this today, that not only do we devote our lives to him but everything. Unto death. Even beyond. When Abraham is spoken about in the New Testament concerning his son Isaac and the encounter in Mount Moriah (where God told Abraham to sacrifice his son on an alter) it accredits him with the belief that his faith was unto death and beyond, Knowing God was able to redeem him from death if this was the case (Hebrews 11:17-19).

God transcends time because he is greater than time.
